What’s the best way to get to the venue?

We would recommend renting a car if you are comfortable. The venue is about a 1 hour drive from Madrid. There is also a bus option. If you are looking for people to car-pool with, please let us know and we can help connect you to someone who has space. More info in our “Getting There” tab.

What should I wear?

On Saturday, athletic or casual attire would be great - we will be playing games that include running and will then have an informal BBQ! For the wedding, please wear formal attire. The outdoor courtyard in the venue, where the ceremony and cocktail hour will be held, has areas of grass and cobblestone flooring, so we recommend wearing shoes that will be comfortable for walking on those terrains. Note, in Soto de Sepulveda, we expect highs of 68°F and lows of 43°F in May - you will probably want a sweater or warmer layer in the evening.

Are the wedding events indoors or outdoors?

Games Day and the following BBQ dinner will be outdoors, weather permitting. On the day of the wedding, the ceremony and cocktail portion will be outdoors, lasting until ~8:30 pm. The banquet and party will be indoors.

What’s the dinner plan on wedding day?

We will be having a 2-hour cocktail portion followed by a sit down dinner, where the main dish will be roasted lamb (a classic regional dish). All dietary restrictions will, of course, be accommodated with alternate options. If you did not indicate your dietary restrictions on the RSVP form, please reach out (contact info below)

Where do I catch the shuttle bus on the wedding day?

Shuttle stops will be at the Hotel Restaurante Mirasierra and near the Hotel Rural La Romerosa, at the rotunda on Calle Val Bajo, Riaza (https://maps.app.goo.gl/RrNBTC9dWrVV1SH4A). You should be at the stop at 4:50pm to catch the bus to the ceremony. The buses will transport guests to the venue before the wedding, and will depart from the venue back to each hotel approximately every hour starting around midnight.

Do I have to stay until 4am?

No, there's no pressure to stay longer than you want to. Weddings in Spain tend to go later than American weddings. Dancing will begin around 10pm, and we will have buses to the hotels leaving every hour starting at midnight.

Who should I call with questions?
